We are learning many different strategies to multiply and divide in class. We want students to be exposed to many different methods to improve their understanding of why we do what we do in math. You may have seen many different models and ways of asking questions in eSpark Math and Zearn too. As we expose students to new ways of thinking about math, we prepare them to apply math strategies both in and out of the classroom.

BUILDing Mathematicians Be a Math Writer Students write about how they solve math problems. Use Manipulatives Students use ones, tens and hundreds blocks along with counters to visually understand math concepts. Independent Work Students do work independently at their seats, suited to their own needs to grow as Mathematicians. Learning the Facts Students learn addition and subtraction facts by practicing flashcards a working on IXL. Doing Math Games Students do math board games that reinforce the concepts being taught.
